Getting Started

  1. Join the Midjourney Discord server
  2. Subscribe at midjourney.com
  3. Use /imagine command in a newbies channel
  4. Wait for your image to generate (60 seconds)

Basic Prompt Structure

/imagine prompt: [subject], [style], [lighting], [mood] --v 6

Example Prompts

"A serene mountain landscape at sunset, oil painting style, warm golden hour lighting, peaceful atmosphere --ar 16:9 --v 6"

Key Parameters

  • --ar 16:9: Aspect ratio
  • --v 7: Use version 7 (latest model with Draft Mode and Omni Reference)
  • --style raw: Less stylized, more photographic
  • --s 250: Stylization level (0-1000)

Upscaling & Variations

After generation, use the U buttons to upscale or V buttons to create variations of your favorite images.
